Hanabi is a Japanese word and difficult to translate. It means fireflower (hana = flower, bi = fire). However, this translation does not provide the deeper meaning.
Hana-bi is known in Japan as the annual public fireworks held in summer. These events usually attract an audience of often hundreds of thousands of spectators. The deeper meaning of a hana-bi, however, lies not so much in opulence as in artistic expression and filigree images, hence the comparison with a flower. But the Hanabi golf balls are not only beautiful: the dimples are not circular, but elliptical. This way, it brings the air flow more downwind, reduces the air resistance and thus extends the flight distance.
